The Mycenaean Foundation operates exclusively for scientific, educational, cultural, and charitable purposes. MF is a 501(c)3 non-profit headquartered at Dickinson College in Carlisle,PA under the direction of Professor Christofilis Maggidis. The Foundation also owns the Melathron Center in Mycenae, Greece. The Melathron comprise 9,000 sq.ft. of living and work space, classrooms, offices, labs, computer rooms, a library, an open-air theatrical area,as well as a unique, one-acre outdoor dig simulator (under construction),
The Arete Fund has partnered with MF to support cultural outreach. AF provides a theatrical venue at nearby Elagaia. To date, The Arete Fund has hosted performances for visiting American students and a historical and cultural dialogue with the former and current Afghani Ambassadors to Greece.
